Cymax.com was founded in 2004 by Arash Fasihi, selling primarily television stands and entertainment furniture. The business launched its first website specializing in TV stands, Audio-Video-Furniture.com, in the fall of 2004. The company eventually grew to sell products on 115 niche web sites. In response to the Panda search engine ranking algorithm update made by Google.com in 2011, Cymax began to consolidate products onto fewer websites. Today Cymax operates fewer than 3 microsites and focuses on selling home and office furniture through their flagship store, cymax.com.
